Eligibility
Employee
Regular full-time employees scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in Ferrotec’s health and group benefits. Unless otherwise noted, all benefits begin on your date of hire.
Dependent
Your eligible dependents include:
- Your legal spouse or domestic partner
- Children through the end of the month that they turn 26, including:
- Biological
- Adopted
- Foster
- Stepchildren
- Children of a domestic partner
- Your disabled children of any age
How to Enroll or Make Changes
- Log in to the Enrollment Portal.
- From your Start Menu click the “Benefits” box.
- To view current elections, click “My Benefit Enrollments.”
- To elect or change benefit elections, click “Start Open Enrollment.”
- Follow the steps to enroll, once completed be sure to select “Submit” to confirm your elections.
Did you know…
When enrolling dependents you will need to submit eligibility documentation (i.e., marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.)
When to Enroll
You have three opportunities to enroll in or change benefits during the year:- Open Enrollment, your once-a-year opportunity to enroll or make changes to programs for the next plan year. The Open Enrollment period is typically held in the spring, and your benefit elections will be effective for the entirety of the plan year unless you have a Qualifying Event.
- Newly hired employees must enroll in Ferrotec’s benefits within 30 days of your Hire Date. If you miss your New Hire Enrollment period, your next opportunity to enroll will be during the annual Open Enrollment period, unless you have a Qualified Event.
- If you have a Qualified Event, you may be able to make changes to your benefits within 30 days of the event. Typical events include:
- Change in marital status
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Death of a dependent
- Change in employment
- Loss or gain of other insurance coverage
- Change in dependent eligibility (for example, your child ages out of coverage)
